GINGKO GOLD. Pigmente, acrylic medium, oils auf
canvas, 100x120cm. 2025
Immerse yourself in the vibrant essence of my latest creations, a stunning representation of abstract and contemporary art. I love ambling past the TU in Munich in Autumn when the Gingko trees glow like pure gold in the sunlight.
Yellow, the colour of sunlight, clarity and bold ideas is often used in learning environments and creative industries. It stimulates the left side of the brain - our center for logic, language and innovative thinking. It energises the mind, lifts the spirits and sparks creativity. It inspires confidence and promotes a sense of self worth. The ideal choice for spaces that crave a touch of life and warmth.
Hampi Red
I draw inspiration from nature and natural textures. Sometimes the journey is just as exciting as the destination.
This universal circle, drenched in a rich, velvety red, is a striking exploration of colour and form, evoking a profound emotional response and speaks of passion and energy, emotions often intertwined with human experience. Red stimulates and invigorates, making it ideal for spaces where activity and social interaction is desired. A little "unexpected red" goes a long way in making a space feel vibrant, unique and alive.

My artistic practice is deeply rooted in the use of natural pigment, sourced from the earth. They not only serve as a foundation of my creative process, but also hold within them a rich history and narrative. By exploring the textures and colours of pigments, I aim to tell Earth Stories that connect viewers to the rawness and beauty of our planet. My work bridges the gap between the ancient practice of creating pigments from earth and the contemporary realm of abstract art, resulting in an unique fusion of Earth Art.

Power of pigments 2023
I enjoy the process of making my own paints and discovering the way the pigments react with different binders. Pigments give me flexibility. The following works are all not available anymore.
Painting with the ocean 2022
in the warm tropical waters on the shores of Taprobane
I painted underwater with oilpaints and gloved hands.
I rubbed raw canvasses on the ocean-bed, then applied pigments and medium onto them, rolled them tightly and tethered them onto the rocks, leaving them overnight at the mercy of the waves, drying them on the rocks the next day, I repeated this process many times until I deemed them "finished". I loved seeing the iguana family visit them early in the morning for a group crit, before they ambled off to find juicy earthworms for breakfast.
Inspired by the ocean
These works were created after my residency in Sri Lanka
where I worked either underwater or on the shoreline.
Enamoured by the blues of the ocean and sky, the movement of the water and the reflections,
I strived to capture every moment.
The Dance of the Blue Whale.

Loved capturing the light underwater highlighting the abandoned fishernets.
